What does it cost to publish in iKNiTO js?

Authors may choose to publish under one of two Creative Commons licenses: CC BY or CC BY-NC. The CC BY-NC license allows authors to distribute, adapt, or reuse articles for non-commercial purposes, while commercial reuse requires permission. The CC BY license, available for a surcharge, allows authors to distribute, adapt, or reuse articles, including for commercial purposes. We assess the surcharge to account for potential lost secondary revenue such as permissions and reprint sales. As noted above, launching and sustaining a journal of this caliber requires a significant investment. Rather than charging a higher price for all authors, we assess a surcharge only on the CC BY license. Authors can comply with various institutional and funder mandates by choosing to publish under a CC BY license. We will reassess the cost structure for these licenses after one year.

Is there a page limit for articles submitted to iKNiTO js?

No. Authors may submit manuscripts of any length; however, there will be a $0,000 surcharge for any articles longer than fifteen final (galley) pages. The surcharge helps cover the added costs of editing, copyediting, and other services. It is also intended to promote brevity and precision, and to discourage poorly-written and unnecessarily lengthy articles that are difficult to read. In the event that additional space is necessary to properly convey findings or ensure reproducibility, the page-length surcharge may be waived at the discretion of the editor.

What is the journal’s editorial structure?

iKNiTO js has established an editorial structure that represents NotionWave Publishing Group commitment to serving the entire scientific community. The journal is edited by Professor Robert Williams, PhD, editor-in-chief of iKNiTO js journals. Supporting Dr. Yusuf Chisti is a team of 5 deputy editors and 15 associate editors providing broad domain coverage, as well as an in-house editorial and management staff. Individual papers may also be sent to other scientists for additional peer reviews.

What is the journal's Impact?

We believes that individual research articles should be assessed on their own merits, rather than by a journal-based metric like the Journal Impact Factor. To ensure authors get the credit they deserve, we provide article-level metrics on each article page in iKNiTO js. However, we also recognize that the Impact Factor remains important to some members of the scientific community. The Impact Factor is based on two years of publication and citation data, so we expect to receive an Impact Factor in 2018, which will be based on citations in 2018 to papers published in 2016 and 2017.

What is the journal’s ISSN?

iKNiTO js’ ISSN is 0000-1234
